Event
The XAC (Extreme Aerobatic
Club) is a one of a kind event. We combine some of the best 3-D flying you'll
ever see with a state of the art sound system playing music the entire day. We
usually have 10 to 15 3-D pilots that fly 4-minute freestyle's to music. We have
numerous demonstrations and a 3D clinic for anyone wanting to learn 3D. We also
allow plenty of time for open flying for anyone that wants to learn.
We will have open flying on
Thursday until dark. Friday, Saturday and Sunday the fly
in will start at 9AM. Any IMAA legal airplane is welcomed. AMA insurance

Camping

Campgrounds with full hookups within 7 miles of the
field.
Shady Acres Campground: 449-5400 off exit 238 and
1-40; go south.
Timberline campgrounds:449-2831 exit 238 off of I-40;
go south.
Countryside campgrounds: 449-5527: at hwy 109 and
I-40 15 miles from the field.
There is plenty of room for self contained campers
and RV’s at the flying field but there are No hookups.
Directions to Flying Field
I -40 east out of Nashville at exit #245 (Linwood
Rd exit). Turn south on Linwood Rd and follow the RC signs from there on.
(yes, we will have plenty of signs to get you here)
The flying field is 3 miles from the interstate:
5320 Poplar Hill Rd. Linwood Rd crosses Poplar Hill Rd about 2 miles from the
interstate. Turn left on Poplar Hill Rd and go 1 mile to the field. Look for
the windsock near the road.
